Computer forensics is a continually changing field with the need for highly trained and skilled examiners. Curriculum has been developed by colleges to address this need. There are now college degrees that can be obtained in the computer forensic field.

HTCIA recognized the need to foster a relationship with these students. In 2008 the organization decided to allowed students to join and even create student charters under the supervision of a sponsoring chapter. For the first time students can interact with seasoned computer forensic examiners both in the private and public sectors. They also get a glimpse at what it means to be a member of the HTCIA organization.

The Ohio Chapter Board members would like to welcome our student members and our student charter(s) to the HTCIA organization. We hope that your experience with our organization will be a memorable one.

We currently have Student Charters at Defiance College, University of Akron and Stark State College.

For information about starting your own student charter, see the International HTCIA webpage on Student Members.
